The Shri Suktam is from the Rigveda which is one of the oldest and most religious texts. This is a composition of 16 verses and every verse is a prayer which sings paeans of the Goddess Sri and seek her blessings and boon.
This can be chanted as an affirmative hymn whilst performing certain rituals and ceremonies including the rituals associated with money and wealth. Many people hold it on high stead that the chanting of the lord’s hymn, the name of Shri Suktam, when chanted with pure and pious heart and soul will shower the blessings of lord in the form of success in every mission undertaken by the person and lead to happy and contented life.

The Shri Suktam is a Vedic hymn taken from the Rigveda which is devoted to the deity of wealth, prosperity and good fortune –Lakshmi. It glorifies Lakshmi as the goddess of fortune and utilises adjectives such as beautiful, bright and graceful to refer to her in the hymn. The hymn also requests her to destroy the enemies and bless one with wealth and devotion on the right path which is the path of good deeds.
