Importance of Vaishno Mata : Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Hindu Goddess Mata Adi Shakti, also known as Mahalakshmi/Matrika Goddess. The words "maa" and "mata" are commonly used in India for "mother", and thus are often used in connection with Vaishno Devi. Goddess Vaishno Devi is represented in the three divine aspects of goddess-hood in Hindu mythology -- Mahakali (the fierce form of the goddess), Saraswati (goddess of knowledge) and Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth). Vaishno Mata shrine at Vaishnodevi, in Udhampur district at Jammu, is among the most known sacred spots in Indian sub continent. Vaishno Mata is known to be instant wish fulfiller of her devotees. Navratri : The festival of Navratri comes with a promise of nine days filled with fun, frolic, dance and festivities all around. It is one of the most vivacious festivals celebrated in the country.Navratri not only symbolises the victory of good over evil (Goddess Durga's victory over Mahishasur) but also celebrates the spirit of Indian culture in its togetherness. Devotees, not only celebrate the festival by offering prayers to the Goddess but also wear traditional and colourful dresses, sing folk songs and indulge in other fun activities like- playing Garba and Dandiya.
