हिंदी अर्थ : कबीर साहेब इस दोहे में कहते हैं की तुम क्यों अज्ञान की निंद्रा में सो रहे हो। तुम जागो और मुरारी (ईश्वर ) के नाम का सुमिरन करो। एक दिन जब मृत्यु आएगी तो तुमको लम्बे पाँव पसार के सोना ही है। एक रोज सभी को मृत्यु आएगी, सभी को इस जगत को छोड़कर जाना है। हरी के नाम का सुमिरन ही मुक्ति का द्वार है। अतः अज्ञान (माया ) के अन्धकार से निकल कर हरी के नाम का सुमिरन करो।

Meaning in English : In this couplet, Saint Kabir urges, "Why do you sleep in the slumber of ignorance? Wake up and meditate on the name of Murari (God). One day, when death comes, you will extend your legs (lying down), but now is the time to accumulate the gold of divine remembrance. One day, everyone will face death, and everyone has to leave this world. Contemplating on the name of the Lord is the gateway to liberation. Therefore, rise above the darkness of ignorance (Maya) and engage in the remembrance of the Lord."
