माटी कहे कुम्हार से, तू क्या रोंदे मोहे,
एक दिन ऐसा आएगा, मैं रोंदूगी तोहे

आये हैं तो जायेंगे, राजा रंक फ़कीर,
एक सिंघासन चडी चले, एक बंदे जंजीर

दुर्बल को ना सतायिये, जाकी मोटी हाय,
बिना जीब के स्वास से लोह भसम हो जाए

चलती चक्की देख के दिया कबीर रोये,
दो पाटन के बीच में बाकी बचा ना कोई

दुःख में सुमिरन सब करे, सुख में करे ना कोई,
जो सुख में सुनिरण करे, दुःख कहे को होए

पत्ता टूटा डाल से ले गयी पवन उडाय,
अबके बिछड़े कब मिलेंगे दूर पड़ेंगे जाय

कबीर आप ठागायिये और ना ठगिये,
आप ठगे सुख उपजे, और ठगे दुःख होए

माटी कहे कुम्हार से, तू क्या रोंदे मोहे,
एक दिन ऐसा आएगा, मैं रोंदूगी तोहे

"Mati kahe kumhar se, tu kya roundhe mohe
Ek din aisa aayega, main rondungi tohe."
This is a popular doha (couplet) by the 15th-century Indian mystic and poet Kabir. It is commonly translated as:
"The clay is saying to the potter, why are you molding me?
One day will come, and I will mold you."
In this doha, Kabir uses the metaphor of a potter and a lump of clay to convey a deeper philosophical message. The clay represents human beings, while the potter represents God or the higher power. Just as the potter molds the clay into various forms, God shapes and molds human beings according to his will.
The doha can be interpreted in different ways, but the most common interpretation is that human beings should not be arrogant or proud of their abilities, accomplishments, or material possessions. They should be humble and realize that they are subject to the will of God or fate. One day, they will return to the earth and become one with it.
