Meaning Gauranga

गौराङ्ग अर्थाङ्ग गङ्गा तरङ्गे। योगि महायोग का रूप राजे॥
Meaning: O Lord, whose body is fair like camphor, whose limbs are like precious ornaments and whose waves of Ganga are like the swirling currents of Yoga, You are the embodiment of Mahayoga.

बाघ छाला मुण्ड माल शशि फाल करताल। कालेक ढिमि ढिमिक ढिमि ढमरू बाजे॥
Meaning: Your tiger skin, matted locks, garland of skulls, and crescent moon on the forehead make a beautiful sight while Your damaru (a small drum) beats out the rhythm of the kalas (tala) in accompaniment.

ताडेक ढिमि ढिमिक ढिमि ढमरू बाजे॥
Meaning: The rhythm of Your damaru beats out in accompaniment, filling the universe with its sound.

अम्बराम्ब गान्धार दिगम्बर जटा जूट। फणिधार भुजङ्गेश अङ्ग विभूति छाजे॥
Meaning: You are adorned with the sky as your garment, and the notes of music as your fragrance. Your hair is matted, and You have a serpent coiled around Your neck. You hold a trident and a damaru, and the ashes on your body are Your Vibhuti (sacred ash).

वाणी विलासतूय दाता विधाता। जाता सकल दुःख सदाशिव विराजे॥
Meaning: Your speech is adorned with eloquence and You are the giver and dispenser of all boons. O Sadashiva, You have manifested Yourself to eradicate all sorrows.
