As per the legends narrated in Mahabharata, Lord Krishna become emblematic of the side of Pandavas and joined the Kurukshetra war. So here it is important to note that Lord Krishna, who was a mentor and confidant of the Pandavas, did have a strategy to winning the battle.
Lord Krishna's plan was based on two main strategies:Diplomacy: Lord Krishna was tried his utmost level in order to avoid this war to happen at the first place. He went to the Kauravas and asked them release part of land for the Pandavas as promised but the Kauravas declined to do so. He then attempted to mediate between the two parties but the Kauravas had no intentions of letting go there was no way Dhritarashtra was going to change his mind on this one.
Major Krishna Steps To win Kurukshetra War ?Guidance and support: The Pandavas received Krishna’s assistance as a friend and counselor and more particularly as the counselor of Arjuna. While the war was going on, he was helping the Pandavas and guided, and even being the charioteer of Arjuna as well as encouraging him.
Strategic skills: With his equal knowledge and strategies, that he had utilized to help the Pandavas to get the upper hand in the fight. He gave them some good advices regarding the strategic locations and the vulnerabilities of the Kauravas and thus taught them how to attacked.
Divine powers: The Pandavas’ main antagonist in the Bhagavad Gita was Ravana and as a divine being, Krishna had all the weapons in his arsenal to protect the Pandavas from any harm. He comes with his divine powers in order to ward off the Kauravas and help Pandavas.
Role in the death of Karna: Karna was one among the most skilled generals in the Kaurava army but he was born an unlucky man and he had to go through a lot of trials and tribulations during the war. Since Karna was on the side of the Pandavas, Krishna who knew about this fact exploited this and took advantage of Karna’s only vulnerability to kill him.
Symbolic presence: There’s much literature about how Krishna’s association with the Pandavas as their charioteer was sufficient to signify that the side of the right was with the Pandavas. The encouragement he gave to the Pandavas retrieved the morale of the Pandavas in the battle as they were encouraged to fight more vigorously.
